Pick a plan that fits you
Every paid plan starts with a free trial that needs no card. There is also a free tier that keeps working without a subscription at all.
Plans are billed in USD. Trials let you fully evaluate the service with no payment required up front. After the trial, you'll be billed per the plan you selected. You can cancel and delete your account at any time.
What the paid plans add
The free tier blocks ads, trackers and malware over encrypted DNS, which is enough for a single device you just want to be quieter and safer.
Paid plans are about control. Premium adds the filtering categories and the individual service blocks, so you decide what a device can reach rather than accepting one fixed list. Premium Plus adds more profiles, so each device in a household can have its own policy, along with custom rules, time-based schedules and a choice of which region answers your queries.
Billing
Longer terms cost less per month, and the plan you pick is the plan you pay for — there is no separate setup fee and no per-device charge within your profile allowance.
Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running to its end. The trial needs an email address and nothing else; if you do not subscribe, it simply stops.
Choosing between them
If you want one device filtered, Premium covers it. If you want different rules for different people — a child’s tablet, a work laptop, a television — you want the extra profiles in Premium Plus, because a profile is what carries a policy.
Schedules are the other common reason to move up: blocking social media during school hours and releasing it afterwards needs rules that change by time of day. There is more on how that works on the parental controls page, and the setup guide covers connecting whichever devices you end up with.
